The Bothell Student Times
In rotation, every MMGD is requested to create the BS Times documenting events and news over the spam of the upcoming two weeks. I was tasked to do the BS Times for February 14 to February 27.

Thought and Design Process
Footer option 1
First, I decided on a background/footer for my BS Times. Since February is still considered snowboarding and skiing season here, I decided to go with a design combining the Husky and snow. I created two different designs with this theme and ended up choosing the husky snowboarding because it was simpler and wouldn't distract the reader from the text above.
Footer option 2
Then, I designed the header of the poster, which contains the timeframe and title of the BS Times. I stuck to the colors of UW Bothell (purples and gold) and thought they matched the blues and whites of the footer quite well. The diagonal stripes represent a scarf similar to the one the husky is wearing and therefore tie the header with the footer.

Lastly, I decided on a template for the text. I chose text size, color, and boldness for the title, date, and body. I then used that template to write out all events and distribute them evenly on the poster. I printed 8.5"x11" posters to be distributed in the restrooms all around campus and two 24"x36" to be hung up in the bulletin boards in UW1.
